Just saw the announcement today for early bird tickets for 2016! This is great news as i would love to go back again to sunny (well almost!!) Maidstone next year. Now ..... who do we want on the lineup?  ??!! |

Think it's most likely looking like Lynyrd Skynyrd and Deep Purple to headline. Neither played either High Voltage but both are so suited to the atmosphere of this festival it seems like it's set in stone that they'll play here eventually. Thunder is also another band I truly believe are inevitably bound for Maidstone next year and I could see The Cult as a sub or 3rd down. Would also hope to see some bands such as Black Spiders and Jettblack to promote their up and coming talent. Finally if we HAVE to have some returning faces, Bernie Marsden was magical in the Blues Tent and deserves a spot on the Classic Rock Stage next year, he seemed to love it as much as the fans watching and even before coming off the stage he openly said "I hope I can come back and play on the main stage next year". People also seemed to love Rival Sons so I could possibly see them returning higher up next year or the year after. All that having been said though, I would not be opposed to Saxon being the in-house band, similar to Black Spiders for High Voltage or Anthrax for Sonisphere, they're extremely reliable.

Steve Hackett & maybe Transatlantic for Prog stage.
Return of Ritchie Blackmore Rainbow & Priest as headliners now that would be something , UFO are a must & would welcome Saxon again

How about some Thunder, Uriah Heep and a great live US band Styx. Styx could be very interesting! Don't get too many chances to see them, also feel like any of Journey, Foreigner and Survivor could suit the atmosphere...cheesy rock always goes well on a sunny summer afternoon |

Second Uriah Heep - saw them at Download a few years back and was impressed. Would also like to see Black Stone Cherry, Journey, Bernie Marsden again, Opeth on Prog stage (obviously playing recent material), Slash, Porcupine Tree and Walter Trout in the Blues tent

If Slash does appear do we think he could headline? I mean he has appeared in the UK quite a lot over the last 5 years since Download 2010 and High Voltage 2011, which could see him perhaps feeling a bit stale and samey but at the same time Andy Copping has said in interviews he sees Slash as a potential future Download Headliner. So perhaps, Slash could headline Ramblin Man 2016? He'd need a solid setlist to convince a few punters but he has enough big, big tunes in his various back catalogues to tide over almost everyone going

Styx woudl be ideal for RMF. Excellent live band and perfect for a festival crowd. REO Speedwagon and Def Leppard also get my vote  Maybe one of these all star cover bands. Yes a tad cheesy but perfect for an afternoon/early evening slot. get Alice Cooper's Hollywood Vampires over. |

Blackmore is getting a lot of press at the moment about potential rock shows next June. July isn't that far off the mark. Ritchie doing a set of Purple/Rainbow tracks would go down very nicely on a warm afternoon in Kent!!

Some good shouts here. Spent most of my time at the Prog stage and probably would again. I'm a big Camel fan so obviously would be happy to see them again but Opeth, Steve Hackett and Transatlantic are all good shouts for headlining the Prog stage. Other obvious contenders for headlining the Prog stage are King Crimson and Yes, I reckon. Would love to see Haken again, perhaps with a longer set, they were brilliant. Others I'd love to see on the Prog stage are Greenslade and Gryphon. I don't suppose there's any chance of getting Anthony Phillips on stage...?
Bernie Marsden was great but I'd have liked to hear more of his solo stuff. Perhaps a longer set on the main stage would give scope for more of his solo stuff and still leave room for the Whitesnake favourites. That leaves a hole for headlining the Blues stage but I reckon Joanne Shaw Taylor could rise to that, judging by what I saw this time around. Or maybe Robin Trower...?
How about Gov't Mule for a spot on the main stage?

Id like to see someone like Boston come over to play the main stage, perhaps Tom Petty and Joe Bonamassa would be good, how about Killing Joke, Dan Reed Network and Shinedown for the Main Stage and for the Prog Stage: Transatlantic/Spocks Beard/Threshold/IOEarth/Arena/Pallas :-)
