So with Ramblin' Man Fair 2016 tickets already on sale I figured it'd be fun to speculate who could be playing next year. I'd love to see any of the following on the bill: Joe Bonamassa ZZ Top Judas Priest Black Stone Cherry Deep Purple Lynyrd SkynyrdThe Cult Airbourne Alice Cooper Thunder Bernie Marsden (again please, he was simply amazing)Black Star Riders Europe The DarknessBlack Spiders Jettblack Godsized Richie Blackmore possibly? Unless by chance all the Aerosmith over the speakers during this year's Ramblin' Man Fair happened to be a hint I know there's no way in hell all or even most of these bands will be booked but I hope a handful make their way to Maidstone next year, bring it on

Forgot to mention Richie Sambora, fantastic solo alternative to Bon Jovi and brings some class to their tunes in a live atmosphere.

All names mentioned so far sound pretty good .... but i would like something pretty exclusive for top of bill ... Rush would be a good starter!! I think Kiss would fit the bill also (although they headlined outdoors in UK this year). Now .... here's a left field one ... Ritchie Blackmore with a reformed Rainbow!! (there are rumours with the man in black!!)

On a more subjective note, and this is coming from a massive fan of KISS, even if Ramblin' Man Fair COULD afford them, I wouldn't want them to be booked, their set at Download 2014 was so deeply lacking in passion or any kind of spark, all 4 members seemed to be going through the motions (particularly Gene Simmons who seemed like a scripted robot). If we could get someone on that level then Rush or Aerosmith would certainly be my picks. As for Ritchie Blackmore I honestly believe he could be in with a shot. Who knows, maybe, and this is a big maybe, we could see Black Sabbath do an appearance? I mean, Heaven and Hell's final gig EVER was at High Voltage Festival, Tony and Geezer might feel like doing something similar here at Ramblin' Man with the Ozzy line up.

Thoroughly enjoyed Ramblin Man, especially BOC, Rival Sons, Pineapple Thief, Blues Pills, Hayseed Dixie & Toseland. Here is a leftfield suggestion for headline of the PROG Stage. KINGS X! Have them play all of GRETCHEN GOES TO NEBRASKA! Or, put them on the main stage late afternoon doing DOGMAN

I could certainly see them appearing somewhere but no way are they even close to headlining right now, I'm not sure they're even as big as Rival Sons, I think they'd be in the Temperance Movement/Blue Oyster Cult Slot.

Awesome suggestions! I'd love to see Rush although they may have just finished touring for good (perhaps one offs, which should include Ramblin man ) Sabbath, Priest, MSG,UFO, Kiss, Deep Purple, Rainbow w/Blackmore, Maiden (even!) would be my choice. I loved Camel this year on Prog stage, although I kept running back and forth to see Scorpions too! Shame they were a bit late and sort of started at the same time....

If Ramblin' Man could secure even just one of these, I'd be absolutely over the moon

I thought it was great to see the Quireboys and such bands on this fest, would love to have them again, and what about Tigertailz and Tyketto and bands of similar ilk? Darkness would be great too!

Having thought about it some more I'd love to see Billy Idol appear too, he was fantastic at Download this year and really got the crowd going in the terrible weather conditions (something every band before him failed to do) and with classic tunes like Rebel Yell, White Wedding, Dancing With Myself etc. he'd surely go down a treat

RUSH!!!!!
OK, let's be realistic, they are probably too big, and therefore over budget, for RMF, but stranger things have happened. They have just completed their farewell tour of the US and maybe a farewell to Europe might be satsified with a couple of festivals. Musically, they are a fantastic fit and would certainly guarantee a sell out
Bring on RUSH!!!!

Just been listening to Transatlantic ...... they would be a great headline act for the Prog stage ..... now all we have to do is to get them together for next year ....... On a Portnoy/Morse related subject ..... failing Transatlantic, perhaps Flying Colors??? Looking at previous posts ... Rush would be a dream, but sadly a pipe dream i suspect!
